Mangalya Arpanam

Festive Processes

Isha Institute US

Women with marital issues can offer their mangalsutra on Purnima (full moon days) as a plea for Devi’s grace and compassion.

Process Details

  • The mangalsutra will be kept in the Linga Bhairavi sanctum until the next Purnima, along with a sutra. The day after the following Purnima, it can be collected from the office, along with a consecrated sutra, which should be worn with the mangalsutra for a minimum of 60 days.

  • Mangalya Arpanam happens only on Purnima.
